screw-close clips are nickel-plated steel (completely safe and non-toxic to sugar
gliders) and easy to clip in and out of the cage. Stainless steel is also great for gliders but is rarely seen in pet
items because it is so expensive. So when
shopping other glider stores, ask what the clips, chains, or other
metal items are made of. Wrong answers include
"I dunno", "it says on the package they are zinc plated"
(includes most shiny hardware store items), or
"galvanized metal". In other words, if it ain't
nickel you could be in a pickle.
