What kind of games do you like to play with your sugar glider? And what kind of games do they like to play with you?
We are always searching for new and interesting sugar glider stimulation
toys, and are pleased to present the Spaghetti Teaser. The tassel shape is great for swatting and biting,
the way the tassel jumps and bounces will keep even the most indifferent
gliders wanting more! The Spaghetti Teaser is a human / glider
game best used outside of the cage, in your glider safe room or in your tent.
Gliders like to climb, so use it to
entice them to climb up with you, to you, on you. You can try it on the floor, but most gliders prefer to move upwards, so
drag the tassel up the sides of the couch, up the curtains or shades, or whatever else
in your glider play area that's
OK for them to climb up. For example, we use a fake ficus tree
for "stalking games". As the gliders play and frolic in the tree,
we taunt them with spaghettis. The more types of enrichment we can provide, the healthier the animals are mentally, as we are providing stimulation that appeals to all of their natural behaviors ... running, jumping, battling, stalking, pouncing.
This toy dances, it floats, it wiggles - a different
kind of motion, different kind of stimulation than the Feather
Teaser. This toy is suggested for use with gliders that are acclimated to the home.
New things like a big spider can be scary, but for acclimated gliders, new things can
also be great fun. More ways to interact with a favorite flesh
tree (human) are enjoyable for all! So this toy is best used in a
trusting relationship.
The Spaghetti Teaser is safe
to clean and sanitize in the dishwasher. In fact, the
materials in this toy have been
safety tested to children’s toy standards - so they are not only safe for your pet, but for every member of your family. However,
this toy should be used in "supervised play mode" only, we
don't want your sugar gliders to possibly get tangled up in the
flexi cord and not be able to free themselves.
The metal clip has been tested zinc-free. Both the string and the
tassel are made from durable food grade
silicone, so this is a toy that will last - and is safe for aggressive
gliders to really attack hard!
Many animals are attracted to movement, and this toy brings a human guided type of movement different from most
"in the cage" toys sugar gliders are used to.
Movement directed by a trusted human choreographer can create a dance
your sugar glider will find irresistible and want to dance right
along with. It's a lot of fun to watch them stalk!
