Sugar Glider AirPlane

Lot's of people ask if gliders can fly. They don't really fly,
but glide. If you want your glider to fly, then you need to buy
him / her a plane!
Arnold is SO stoked about his new plane, he just can't focus on anything else.
While the glider gang at SunCoast is pretty sure that
a real "glider plane" does not have a propeller on it (like
the one pictured at left does), Arnold is adamant that HIS plane is a "glider with a propeller".
OK, Arnold.
But the one thing we can all agree on is that this
toy is a multi-tasker that really "goes the distance"!
Constructed from a tough, durable plastic, your sugar glider can actually get inside the plane and use it as a hideaway for some solo time, or
play some peekaboo games with a companion glider (or one of those
needy human mates).
The secret cockpit can also be used as a hiding place for some sweet
treats. Since Arnold only rides in first class, he prefers
yogurt drops with his bottled
water. But he loves all treats, especially if he gets to chow
down in his private airplane cabin! Arnold's friend Chuck prefers to
pilot the plane.
A steel chain is linked onto a bar mounted to the wing (pictured in
red to the left), allowing your glider to oscillate to the right, left, back and / or forth.
And as there are no moving parts on the toy (the propeller does not
spin), it is very safe and sturdy.
As you can probably imagine, this is an incredibly entertaining
activity for a sugar glider. The fearless Arnold plops himself
right onto the plane wing and recklessly twirls, swirls and pivots
around! It reminds us of those fancy tricks you may have seen
performed in a professional air show. Arnold endearingly
refers to this game as his "mid-air wiggle waggle".
The construction of the sugar glider airplane is magnificently simple, or simply magnificent, depending on how you look at it.
There is a
large pear link at the top of the chain, which allows the toy to be
hung from cage bars. As pictured at left, the chain forms a triangle over the top of the toy.
A chain link on each end fits under the indentations on each side of
the bar mount.
The bright red, sunny yellow and sky blue colors create a patriotic, cheery look.
And as previously mentioned, the wheels and propeller do not roll or
shift because there are no movable parts.
Besides being safe and adorably cute, your sugar glider will get to participate in some much needed gripping, swinging and other important physical activity.
If your
suggie is a Joe Pilates-wannabe, this toy may also help with
improving overall balance, coordination and strength. But if
you have a lazy glider on your hands, you needn't worry because this is not a Nautilus machine in
disguise. In fact, even the most comatose glider will likely
be stimulated by this toy!
This charming toy measures about 5" x 6" x 4" in height.
Including the wire hanger frame, the height is roughly
7". The plane wing is about 6" x 1.5" and the
little yellow bar on the backside of the plane is about 3/4" in
diameter and 3.5" long.
As always, all toy parts are safe for our fuzzy buddies. The
pear link and chain are made of suggie-safe steel. And the
plastic parts are FDA-approved for animal safety.
Arnold raves about this toy to fellow gliders and their
humans. It looks so cute in his cage. And he insists he
looks at least as cool - if not cooler - than Howard Hughes himself
(plus there's none of that silly ole human emotional baggage
nonsense).
So be sure to consider this toy as a great addition to other in-cage toys like the
Wodent Wheel, Feather
Teaser, or Foraging Pot. And remember to take advantage of our "no matter how many items you order"
$8 per order shipping - our year-round gift to our fellow suggie-loving humans.
