These sterling silver earrings were handcrafted by Merry
Rosenfield, a well-known Florida
jewelry artist who specializes in designing incredibly
lifelike animal images in sterling silver and polymer clay. Her work is
treasured by animal lovers because of her extraordinary attention to
the details of the animal.
As a testament to how talented
Merry is, Dr.
Kevin Fitzgerald from the Animal Planet's "Emergency
Vets" TV show recently had Merry make custom name
badges for his entire office staff!
Each piece is made by hand, so each one is truly an original work of art.
The original design was initially modeled in polymer clay, with particular attention to
detail and precision. Then the individual pieces are cast in
sterling silver and carefully filed, polished, and detailed by hand to the desired high quality finish.
The earrings are perfectly sized at 3/8 of 1-inch from the tip of the
glider's ear to the
bottom point of the chin. These pretty studs will flatter every face style
and the earring backs are surrounded by a durable plastic backing to keep
them securely, but comfortably, locked in place on the earlobe.
An occasional polishing with a soft cloth made for sterling silver will keep
them looking shiny and brand new.
