This like new transit cage is the ideal way to ship sugar gliders via airline and is the only style shipping container we use here at
SunCoast. It has only been used once before and sterilized to insure its safety and cleanliness.
When using this cage, the airline will ask what size it is, so you need to tell them that it is a "50"
cage and they will know what that means.
The cage is well designed to ship sugar gliders as it is escape proof.
Since sugar gliders are nocturnal, we recommend that the shipping take place
during the day while they are asleep.
We also recommend that you ship the gliders in a nest box or sleeping pouch that they are already used to, so they can just snuggle into something familiar while
traveling.
These cages can be stacked and fastened together to ship as a single unit.
There are small stacking legs on the top cover that will provide adequate airflow to the critters in the bottom kennel.
The containers also nest for easy storage, and the smooth plastic surface is easily cleaned.
The top and both sides contain thousands of tiny ventilation holes and are covered by a thin sheath of cloth.
We keep the sheath coverings on except on very hot days.
The covering provides additional protection from light, but we believe that extra ventilation is helpful in summer months.
Slide-in dividers are available for this product. This can be useful when shipping adult gliders
needing to be separated if they have not been colonized (introduced) prior to the shipping
event. One divider creates two compartments, two dividers create
three compartments, three dividers create four compartments. Maximum

To use this kennel, line the bottom with aspen shavings, place the animal and pouch in the kennel with a piece of fresh fruit for food and hydration (we use apples) and secure the lid
tightly.
The lid snaps firmly into place and there are two holes on one outer edge that we additionally secure with nylon cable ties.
Not any type of carry cage or box will do when shipping with airlines.
The container must be airline approved or the carrier will not accept your shipment.
