We've received a significant number of inquiries over the last couple of years from customers asking us to carry the
Wobust Wodent Wheel.
We take our customer inquiries seriously and we are pleased to now bring the
Wobust Wodent Wheel to those customers with special needs.
In most cases, we have found the Wodent Wheel
Senior to be the best size for most sugar gliders. We've actually run tests between the Senior,
Junior, and Wobust size wheel to see which one the average glider prefers.
This testing was accomplished by using a "wodometer" which is a small attachment that basically measures the distance run.
The average glider will run further in the Senior model
- telling us that it best fits the glider running style and spine curvature.
So why are we now offering the Wobust Wheel? For one thing, there is a population of gliders out there that are a bit on the
large size.
And larger than average size gliders will prefer a larger wheel.
Also, we've been asked by quite a few breeders to offer this size
because in breeding cages with multiple pairs of gliders, every
glider gets a chance to run in the wheel because several can run at
the same time! Large rats, prairie dogs, and hedgehogs would
also use the Wobust Wodent Wheel.
Sugar Gliders love Wodent Wheels.
They are low cost, much safer and quieter than conventional wire exercise wheels, and have a clean, simple oversized design that fits the glider's running style perfectly.
Wodent Wheels feature a unique design with a safe, durable running surface and a support stand without dangerous pinch areas.
These wheels are much easier for a sugar glider to use than a wire wheel, encouraging
exercise.
This model has recently been re-designed and now sports snazzy new colors.
We really like the fact the color scheme is now dark because the old design white surface areas would show every tiny spec of dirt.
But keep in mind that just because the sporty new black/green design won't show messy grime, doesn't mean that it shouldn't be cleaned every couple of weeks.
To help repel dirt and grime buildup, try using Cage Shield to make
the Wodent Wheel and other toy cleaning much easier. And if

The Wodent Wheel will also give you a sense of just how intelligent our tiny friends are.
They are attracted to the toy because sugar gliders like to crawl into holes.
They go in through one of the 3 entry holes and realize if they move just right, the Wodent Wheel will start to move.
So for a few days, they will rock it back and forth. Then the excitement begins...the marsupial version of Jeff Gordon masters speed before your own eyes!
Gliders will eventually get going so fast and so smoothly that some have reported feeling a breeze
out in the room!
